Our History

Established in the picturesque town of La Tour de Peilz in 1994, Samsbike Shop has been at the forefront of the downhill bike industry for three decades. The shop was founded by Lionel & Olivier, two passionates riders and visionary entrepreneur, who saw the potential for a dedicated bike shop in the heart of the Swiss Alps.

In the early years, Samsbike Shop was a small, humble store catering to local biking enthusiasts. Sam’s deep knowledge of mountain biking and his commitment to customer satisfaction quickly earned the shop a loyal customer base. As the downhill biking scene grew in popularity, so did Samsbike Shop.

By the late 1990s, Samsbike had expanded its inventory to include a wide range of bikes, from beginner models to high-end downhill racing bikes. The shop became known for its expertise in bike customization and repair, attracting bikers from all over Switzerland and beyond.

The 2000s marked a period of significant growth for Samsbike Shop. The rise of mountain biking as a major sport saw an influx of new customers and the shop responded by offering more specialized services. From suspension tuning to wheel building, Samsbike became a one-stop shop for all downhill biking needs.
